Beagle Internet is a medium sized full service Internet service provider (ISP). Beagle
provides services across all states of Australia from their Sydney office.
Beagle was founded in 2004 to establish a high quality, low cost dial-up Internet
service provider and has since expanded the product range to include web hosting,
3G wireless and fixed line ADSL and ADSL+ broadband services.
Beagle's founders have significant experience in the Internet Industry having both
founded and operated successful Internet Service Providers World Reach and Zip World in
the early 1990s. Zip World was Sydney's largest privately owned ISP with in excess of
10,000 subscribers prior to its acquisition by the Pacific Internet group 1999.
Over the past 6 years, Beagle has continued to experience
double digit growth year on year which is a testament to the quality and value of the
service provided in what is a very competitive Australian telecommunications marketplace.

From time to time, we are asked why we called ourselves Beagle Internet. We're
so named for a variety of reasons. The canine breed is well known for it's
even temper, gentle disposition, loyalty, intelligence and keen sense of
smell and hunting prowess. That sound's like us!
We're also named after the HMS Beagle, the ship that Charles Darwin sailed upon on his
famous voyage. The voyage and Darwin's associated theories shaped modern natural sciences
in the most profound and fundamental ways. We hope to do the same for the Telecommunications
Industry.
Finally, one of our customer's once pointed out that Royal Australian Navy stewards are
colloquially referred to as Beagles. The parallels are obvious - we both perform a
critical support role that allows you to get on with your day-to-day duties!
