Please note: users of Windows '95 or ME may find that screens and text
can vary from those presented here. However, the general flow will be
the same.
The following setup guide shows the steps required to get on the
Internet with Beagle.
Click on the My Computer icon on your desktop, then the Dial-
up Networking icon. Click the Make New Connection icon and
you will then see the following screen:
In the dialog box for the name, type in Beagle Internet and ensure
the device selected is either 'Standard Modem' or the name of your
particular modem (such as Netcomm Roadster) and click Next. You
will then be presented a screen to enter the Beagle Internet
Dial-in Number which is 0198 333 743.
After you have entered the number click Next. You will be presented
with a splash screen that tells you've that You've sucessfully created
a new Dial-Up networking connection. Click Finish. From there, go
to the Dial-Up Networking Folder and Right click on the Beagle Internet
icon and select Properties from the menu.
You will then be presented with the following screen. If the Use
area code and Dialing Properties option is ticked, untick it.
Then, click the Server Types Tab.
The screen will then look as follows:
Uncheck the Log on to network, IPX/SPX and NetBEUI options. Then click
the TCP/IP Options button and confirm the screen looks exactly as
follows:
Click OK and then Click OK again. You will then be back at the
Dial-up Networking folder. Double Click the Beagle Internet icon and
you will be presented with the following screen.
Enter your full Beagle email address into the user name field and your
password. Click Connect and you'll be on your way to accessing the
Internet! If you do not select the Save password option you
will need to input your password each time you connect to the Internet.
Beagle recommends not selecting this option if your computer is in
a shared environment.
