Get Geeky!
Add a Geek Pack to your plan to get unlimited uploads, a static IP address and
shaping of 256/1024kbps.
You are charged a fixed monthly fee no matter how much data you
transfer. Once you transfer more than either your peak or off-peak
quota, your service is shaped. Uploads and downloads are counted towards quota.
Your ADSL2+ modem connects at a fixed line speed for the 256/64 kbps and
1500/256 kbps plans or at the highest speed possible depending on your distance
from the exchange and line quality for 8000/384 kbps and ADSL2+ plans.
Your service is shaped to 128 kbit/s once you have
reached your monthly transfer quota.
You can also buy additional unshaped usage in blocks if you need to get
back to full speed. Each block purchased gives you equal amounts of
extra peak and off-peak data. For example, a 1GB block gives you
1GB of peak and 1GB of off-peak (total 2GB).
The off-peak period is from 02:00 to
08:00 daily. All calculations are in
Sydney time zone.

Broadband Hardware
You must have an ADSL2+ modem and a line filter for every device that connects to a
telephone socket in your home. The line filter allows you to talk on the phone
at the same time as you are on the Internet. It prevents the ADSL signal from
intefering with your voice signal and visa-versa.
You may bring your own modem or purchase one from us. If you purchase a modem from us, it
comes pre-configured for plug-and-play operation. Plug one end into your phone line, the
other into the network port of your computer, reboot and surf!
